oui, oui marc s’est rasé, tout le monde l’as vu, j’étais débordé et je viens de terminé le post-process, je n’ai vraiment pas beaucoup à dire, cette shot était pour mon cours d’ambiance, l’ambiance choisi était une salle de bain le soir

la partie A était l’auto-portrait donc nous étions le sujet mais sans nécessairement être l’objet, la partie B du projet restait un auto-portrait mais le sujet changeait, le moi, pouvait quitter l’image, le nouveau sujet étant l’auto-portrait photographique.

un miroir, une réfléction, la vérité, une perspective, … une victoire de la réprensation : soi par soi-même, une pureté absolue, l’individu imbibe une image par sa personne

the part a was the auto-portrait, we were the subject but not necessarily the object, partb stayed an auto-portrait but the subject was changing, the”me” was fading away, new subject : photographic auto-portrait.

a mirror, a reflection, truth, perspective, … a victory of the representation : it by itself, an absolute purity, the individual imbuing an image by its person

as you read, i didn’t like my last auto-portrait, so i made another one, here it is,  fighting myself, i like this one much much more

so, for the explanation, a photo couldn’t really be more fake than this, sweat is fake, emotion are pretty exagerated, the gloves are fake, the dirt is fake, the redness is fake, the saliva splashing around is only water squirting out of a bottle, there is a huge amount of photoshop in this picture

the set-up itself is not quite hard to do, a black drape, 2×500w power from construction light, the little built-in flash on my eos 350D, and a silver reflector, and it’s done

autoportrait

“people are trying to change you, you need to get ahold, and try to stay yourself while changing, it may be an hard and painful process”

this autoportrait is for my visual expression class, we were asked to make an autoportrait, i’m not sure if i like it…

i won’t give you a photoshop course but i just want to show people to effect of post-processing a picture.

this is the last shot from my roll, my camera fucked and made the last 4,5 or 6 last shot on one of the frame, i’m a so fuckin happy with the result, i love this picture so much, i think it really represent me.

so as i said this was all done on the roll, the only photoshop, is the adding of some sharpness, a 60% (not everywhere) cross-process curve.

if you look at it bigger and long enough you may find some real nice stuff, building, lighting,sign, words, shapes, that you can find in montreal, like on sherbrooke, st-denis, sanguinet and in the metro

jasmin dans le métro

je suis tellement fatigué, ça l’a pas de bon sens, j’ai quand même décidé d’éditer une petite shot avant de sauter au lit, c’est un beau petit portrait de Jasmin que j’ai pris dans le métro au retour de la visite de l’oratoire

ooh, et btw, le saphir et les soirées beat me up thursday sont complètement folles, je conseille à tout fan d’électro, de danse ou d’alcool pas cher d’y aller, tout les jeudi au saphir, j’en suis sortit complètement wasted !
