My name is Alexandre Morin, and i’m a student in photography at the Cégep du Vieux Montréal, in Montréal, QC, Canada, which is the french part of Canada. This blog will be mainly about photography, but i will, once in a while, blabber about other stuff that I enjoy like video games, movies, music or tv-shows.
I would describe my photography or my aesthetics as moody and theatrical, uhhm, i use lighting, and high contrast as my main way to throw the viewer in the picture, as a way of surrounding him into my pictures. I always try to catch the viewer by showing interesting shape and color at first which surrounds the picture’s story. I really think that any good picture needs a good post-process. Each picture needs his own tone, his own “frosting”. In an era where we always run, i think an image needs to be strong before someone really watches it. The frosting or presentation catches the viewer then the story keeps him on the image.
I work with 2 cameras, i have a digital one, which is a Canon 350D, the lenst i use the most is a Sigma 17-70mm F2,8-4,5 DC, but i also use a Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 APO DG. My analog one is a Canon AE-1, i have 3 lenses on that one, a wide 24mm f/2.8, a normal 50mm f/1.8 and a 135mm f/3.5. I also use other stuff, but i don’t need to be that specific.
Enjoi.
